With motor vehicle technology accelerating faster than most of the cars it controls, the days of multimeters and test lights are falling far behind us when it comes to diagnosis of faults within electronic control systems. With more and more vehicle systems being controlled by ECU's, there is a greater need for test equipment capable of doing the job.

The introduction of EOBD (European On Board Diagnostics) means current motor vehicles have to self monitor their engine control systems, at least as far as emissions regulations go, and usually much further.
Autowerks uses the latest laptop technology to access the vehicle computer systems, then allowing the vehicle to inform us where the fault or faults lay.

With BMW especially, digital control now stretches beyond engine, ABS and possibly transmission. It takes care of airbags and supplementary restraint systems, central locking and anti-theft systems, climate control even electric windows and
sunroofs. As these systems become mainstream private garages are finding more and more everyday problems are becoming harder or even impossible to solve. We aim to offer drivers an alternative to costly main dealers for all their needs.
